Big Sable Point Lighthouse

Another attraction at Ludington State Park, Big Sable Point Lighthouse.  The lighthouse is open for tours and you are able to climb to the top for some breathtaking views of Lake Michigan.

The stairs are a tight squeeze, and if you visit on a windy day, like we did, it feels like you may blow right into Lake Michigan- but seeing the water, the beach, and the coastline from atop the lighthouse is indescribable.

Big Sable Point

This is what we hiked through to get to the lighthouse.  A little longer than expected so if you do choose to hike make sure you are prepared!

From inside the lighthouse, about to start our climb.

From the top- oh how I love Michigan water.  The constantly changing aquas and blues always amaze me.
