Noel Night will take place this Saturday in Midtown Detroit. The tradition of Noel Night began in 1975 and has been a long standing tradition ever since. Over 30 institutions will offer holiday activities, shopping, and live performances. The festivities end with a holiday sing a long led by the Salvation Army Band on Woodward Avenue.
I have not had the chance to experience Noel Night, but spending last week in Midtown we heard lots of positive buzz for the event. It seemed like everyone was planning something special for Saturday night. Check out the entire schedule here. Top on my list-- Detroit's Artists Market, a live nativity at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, an ice carving competition, and salsa dancing lessons at Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.
