Stop 2 of our mini-roadtrip - Fishtown, Leland
Fishtown is a 145 year old fishing village in Leland, Michigan. The downtown district is great with a perfect mix of restaurants, cafes, and shops. We could have spent all day looking at the merchandise and eating ice cream.
Down by the water is this great dock with more shops and restaurants, all kept looking just as they would have years ago. There is something for everyone from handmade crafts, a women's clothing boutique, and a fresh fish market.
We also had so much fun watching the fish attempting to jump up the weir. We would get so excited when the fish made it up the first level, but we never did see any fish make it to the top-- poor little guys!
