Weekend Plans

Do you have weekend plans?  We will be heading to East Lansing so see Stomp.  I have never seen the show and I am very excited, it is playing at the Wharton Center through Sunday.

Houghton Lake will be celebrating the Tip-Up Town winter festival all weekend, it is known for being Michigan's largest winter festival with a polar bear jump, how cool!

Rain is showing at the Fox Theater in Detroit.

Bodies Revealed, an exhibit on the human body, opens up at the Grand Rapids Public Museum.

This upcoming Monday is the Detroit Career Fair at the Southgate Holiday Inn.

Along with the Plymouth Ice Festival and the Auto Show there will be plenty to do around the state.  Stay warm!

The Plymouth Ice Festival & Auto Show

The Plymouth Ice Festival will be this weekend, running Friday through Sunday.  The event will feature 100 ice sculptures, live entertainment, and other winter inspired activities.  The talent of the ice sculptors always amazes me and  Plymouth is such a cozy town with yummy restaurants and fun shops.  Not up for the crowds?  The ice sculptures are available for viewing 24 hours a day, so grab a mug of hot cocoa and take a late night stroll through the town.

Also, this is the last weekend for the North American International Auto Show.  If you haven't been able to visit and are in the area, I recommend penciling it into your schedule.  What a positive event for the city of Detroit.
