Here are a few photographs from our trip to downtown Northville (this was right before we discovered Mill Race Village). We found the greatest Christmas present at State of Mind Art Gallery, but I can't share it with you until after the holiday for obvious reasons. Since the weather was bad we ended up browsing through books and sharing coffee at The Next Chapter Bookstore and Bistro.

Mill Race Village
A few days ago we were driving out of downtown Northville and saw these cute, old buildings all lined up. We weren't sure what they were so we headed over there to investigate. It ended up being Northville's Mill Race Village, a collection of historic buildings from Northville's past along with a few reproduction buildings. Nothing was open this time of year, but it looked like some of the buildings must be functioning during the summer months and from their website it looks like they offer tours of the small village. What a great hidden gem!

Guernsey Farms Dairy
The beautiful weather this week got me thinking about the wonderful food that comes with summertime. Fresh corn on the cob, barbeques, and my personal favorite ice cream. Have you been to Guernsey Farms Dairy in Northville? Growing up it was a summertime staple for our family and I am very excited to make a visit to the family owned ice cream store this summer.
