We have always been particularly fond of Greenfield Village and decided to spend Mother's Day at the fabulous outdoor museum (I know, this post is a little dated). We had a wonderful day wondering through the village and plan to make a few more visits throughout the summer. There are lots of great events planned at the Village for the summer so make sure to check them out, here, and enjoy all that this local attraction has to offer. Our personal favorite- watching the potters and glass blowers, they are so talented!

The Henry Ford Museum
A few weeks ago we visited The Henry Ford Museum. We had a blast checking out parts of America's history. We are so lucky to have such a great display of historical artifacts right here in Michigan. Along with its continuous exhibits, the museum is also showing a special exhibit based on the life and history of George Washington Carver. My personal favorites at the museum are the old diner, the neon McDonald's sign and the history of campers- so funny to see what people would travel in just to get away!
