I mentioned earlier this week that we were on our way home from Rockford when we stopped and visited all of the roadside pumpkin stands. I had never been to Rockford before, and in all honesty I didn't know there was a whole lot to the town. I was very pleasantly surprised when we headed over to Rockford to visit with friends and saw the cutest downtown area. There are lots of little shops, restaurants (to my surprise there seems to be more hot dog restaurants than anything else), and the town is located right on a beautiful river. Rockford is definitely going on our list of towns to visit again, since the day flew by us far too quickly.
